Red wine from a selection of the best Ciliegiolo grapes of the the old vineyards of Ranchelle, fermented on its native skins and aged 18 months in tonneau.
About This Wine
Poggiomattio is made of a selction of the best Ciliegiolo grapes of the old vineyards of Ranchelle.
The grapes are hand harvested and ferment spontaneously for a period of three weeks. After fermentation and pressing the wine age for 18 moths in oak tonneaux, resulting in a wine that has the depth, structure and substance of a classical red wine combined with the typical fruitiness of the Ciliegilo garpe.
The winemaking of Poggiomattio follows strictly the philosophy of natural winemaking: No addition of yeasts or SO2 or any other additive. Therefore this wine is fully vegan compatible.
