Pergolacce Rosso
Red wine from Alicante and Ciliegiolo, naturally fermented on native yeasts with a short maceration, and aged in stainless steel.
About This Wine
Pergolacce Rosso comes from a one-hectare vineyard planted in 2015 on land historically used for grains and legumes in the hills of Poggio Murella.
Here, Alicante and Ciliegiolo — two classic Maremman red varieties — grow on soils of shale, silt, and clay at 350 m altitude.
The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed, then undergo a short skin maceration, allowing Pergolacce Rosso to capture the juiciness, spice, and vibrancy of the varieties without heavy extraction.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is made without additives or added sulfur.
Pergolacce Rosso is a lively, fruit-driven expression of the Maremma: fresh, spicy, energetic, and deeply drinkable, while still carrying the mineral character of its soils.
