Millocchio Bianco
White wine of a blend of Ansonica and Procanico grapes, fermented for two weeks with the skins on its native yeasts and aged one year in tonneau.
About This Wine
Millocchio Bianco comes from the historic old vineyard at Millocchio — a rare 60-year-old field blend that preserves the genetic heritage of Maremma’s traditional white grapes.
Made following the ancient method once used by local farmers, this is a true orange wine: the must ferments together with the skins for the entire duration of fermentation, just like a red wine.
The result is a deep golden-orange wine with structure, aromatic intensity, and gentle tannins — a natural expression of an old mixed-variety vineyard farmed without synthetic products and vinified with spontaneous fermentation and no addition of So2.
Millocchio Bianco is produced from separate fermentations of Ansonica and Procanico, blended after fermentation and aged for one year on regenerated 500 l oak barrels.
